It doesn't matter where you begin, what matters is that you make it.
The Fast Fourteen begins August 1st and lasts 14 days.
What to avoid
Requirements involve limiting red meat, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy products, alcohol, and oil.
Alcohol and oil (but no fish) are allowed on Saturdays, Sundays, and Feast Days.
What can I eat?
Fruits, vegetables, nuts, white rice, and grains.
Feast Days
On August 6th, fish, alcohol, and oil are allowed. However, meat, eggs, and dairy are prohibited entirely until the Fast Fourteen is over.
